1956-dodge-coronet-lancer

In the 1950′s Dodge was busy experimenting with engine and head designs. They produced a number of interesting new designs, but few went on to be used and even fewer lasted the test of time. One of the better designs they came out with was the Poly head V8, but it didn’t go on to see the success that the Hemi did. This 1956 Dodge Coronet Lancer is powered by one of these Poly V8s and is a solid driver. Take a look at it here on eBay, were bidding is still low. Read more »

Barn Find Cobra

Electric company meter-readers, landscapers, and other deliverymen possibly have the best opportunity to discover vehicles “just out of view” from car collectors. The story of Cobra CSX2149 begins this way, when a propane gas delivery driver looked into a customer’s remote barn near Indianapolis, Indiana, in 1993. Read more »

Drivable Barn Find: 1964 Corvette Convertible

1964-Corvette-Convertible-top-down

This 1964 Corvette Convertible had been sitting for over 20 years. The seller has since pulled it out of storage and replaced a few parts to make it drivable. It is now running, has a new top, and a clean interior. The frame is claimed to be solid, so we would probably just go through the suspension and drive it as is. It would be a great candidate for restoration, but we personally like the current look. Find it here on eBay out of Kingston, New York. Read more »

patinated-1968-ford-ltd-country-squire

The word “Patina” gets thrown around a lot nowadays, but when does patina look good and when has it turned into nothing more than a rust problem? Obviously, determining that is based in part on opinion, but it is also based on how severe the rust really is. This 1968 Ford Country Squire wagon could be a perfect example of a car with great patina, as it gives it character, but isn’t affecting the structural integrity of the body. Find it here on craigslist, with an asking price of $3,500. Read more »
