This 1950 Jaguar XK120 has supposedly been parked since 1969. Obviously the past owners have undertook parts of the restoration, but none have been able to finish the job. Reader Pete M. came across this 1969 Jaguar E-Type Convertible garage find here on eBay.uk. This topless cat has been parked in this Surrey garage for a long time and as a result, is in rough shape and will need a complete restoration. This 1964 Jaguar S-Type 3.8 barn find might look staged, but it’s not. This Jag was found hiding in this barn, where it had been for many years. The barn did a great job of protecting it from the elements, leaving it in very solid shape. The seller has done a little work to the brakes, but has otherwise left it as found. In the 1950′s Dodge was busy experimenting with engine and head designs. They produced a number of interesting new designs, but few went on to be used and even fewer lasted the test of time. One of the better designs they came out with was the Poly head V8, but it didn’t go on to see the success that the Hemi did. This 1940 Chevrolet Special Deluxe Coupe has been in the same family since new. The original owner passed it on to her nephew, who then passed it on to his son. This 1964 Corvette Convertible had been sitting for over 20 years. The seller has since pulled it out of storage and replaced a few parts to make it drivable. It is now running, has a new top, and a clean interior. The frame is claimed to be solid, so we would probably just go through the suspension and drive it as is. The word “Patina” gets thrown around a lot nowadays, but when does patina look good and when has it turned into nothing more than a rust problem? Obviously, determining that is based in part on opinion, but it is also based on how severe the rust really is. This 1968 Ford Country Squire wagon could be a perfect example of a car with great patina, as it gives it character, but isn’t affecting the structural integrity of the body.
